IBTE-Sabli Food Industries Collaboration

IBTE School of Business has collaborated various students entrepreneurship projects with Sabli Food Industries Sdn Bhd through access to Sabli's food & beverages production facilities as a platform for production & supply chain learning, hands-on production experience, as well as meaningful dialogue exchanges with business leaders to gain insights to F&B industry.

Corporate Donation Project:
IBTE Mini Plant

Launched at IBTE Jefri Bolkiah Campus in 2018, the Mini Plant provides hands-on training and practical experience for students. The plant consists of Standard and Distillation Skid (Skid A & B) comprising of various equipment including pumps, heat exchangers, boilers and instruments complete with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Distribution Control System (DCS). The IBTE Mini Plant is co-funded by BSP, BLNG, BMC, Hengyi Industries, Mitsubishi and Total.

AgroBiz Brunei

Initiated at IBTE Agro-Technology Campus in 2019, BSP’s LiveWIRE has collaborated with IBTE to develop 10 Hectares of Padi fields and invested in a "Full Supply Chain" system which included an on-site milling facility and the latest equipment including combine harvesters, transplanters, vertical dryers, tractors and drones; aimed with the objectives of developing young entrepreneurs venturing in rice farming business, providing hands-on experience and introducing sustainable farming with the support of modern technology.

Officiate The Walkathon

In 2023, IBTE is honoured to have invited Yang Mulia, Puan Hajah Tutiaty Binti Haji Abdul Wahab, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism to officiate the Charitable Activity and later join the warm-up session together with IBTE staff and students prior to the walkathon flag-off.

IBTE Charitable Activities

In conjunction with each IBTE Fundraising Campaign, IBTE will organise an One IBTE Family activity involving management, school leaders, instructors, support staff and all students across seven campuses to support the charitable cause. In 2023, around 2500 members of IBTE staff and students have participated in a walkathon held at Stadium Negara Hassanal Bolkiah.

Success of Walkathon 2023

Members of staff and students have formed respective committees including first aid, cleanliness, water distribution, checkpoints guide, safety and others to ensure the walkathon is carried out in a safe and orderly manner.

IBTE would like to thank Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, Department of Youth and Sports, Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation, Royal Brunei Police Force for making IBTE Walkathon 2023 a success.

Charity Sharing

IBTE is committed to share part of the fundraising proceeds to other charitable organisations as our way to share to our local community development and support other charitable causes. The proportion of fundraising proceeds that is kept by IBTE will be fully spent on students' teaching and learning and improvement of student welfares

Nominated Charity 2023

In 2023, IBTE has nominated both An-Nur Harapan Sdn Bhd and Learning Ladders Society to share 30% of the total fundraising proceeds whereas Tabung IBTE received 70% of the total Fundraising proceeds.

IBTE is honoured to have invited Yang Mulia, Dr Haji Azman Bin Ahmad, Permanent Secretary (Higher Education) to the Ministry of Education to share the proceeds to the two charitable organisations.

IBTE Fundraising Report

IBTE is committed to 100% transparency of donation proceeds and related expenditure to ensure public that all funds collected must be fully accounted and reported to the public. IBTE also ensures to the public that all fund raising campaigns and related activities are complied with the regulatory requirements set by the Ministry of Home Affairs and relevant authorities in Brunei Darussalam .
